Spellie refreshes every day with three new hidden words. That daily rhythm suits classroom routines. A teacher can open the board at the start of a lesson and have students work through Easy together before splitting off to tackle Medium and Hard independently.
The game was created by Christopher Porter, David Hirtle, and James Dodds with younger audiences in mind. Word lists are not just shortened adult dictionaries. They are mapped to school reading milestones, so a Grade 2 student is unlikely to encounter a word their class has never seen.
